I was the first born in a large farm family of 12. My parents utilized the awesome power of the mind without even realizing it. My siblings and I rarely got sick because being sick and being pampered was not something they encouraged. If we did get sick which inevitably did happen occasionally we usually got over it fairly quickly because there was too much fun being missed out on when being sick. We went barefoot until the ground had frost on it in the fall and we were not overly concerned about germs.
We lived on a 120 acre dairy and hog farm. There was plenty of profitable and useful activities for every member of the family to do in taking care of the farm. My Dad did very well financially in spite of not taking government subsidies. He had a success mindset thereby utilizing the power of his mind without even realizing it. He not only worked hard, but also worked smart. Most important he honored God the Creator who created the whole universe with a thought that started in His Mind.
I had a problem that started when I was about 3 years old with a saliva gland under my left ear that periodically would get infected and would swell up and cause great pain. A trip to the doctor and an antibiotic prescription would clear up the infection. However this kept happening on a regular basis about 2 or 3 times a year until I was 13 years old, and my parents decided to get to the bottom of this and took me to a specialist in Iowa City. After some tests and X-rays the doctor, a red faced rather arrogant kind of guy told us that if my saliva gland was not surgically removed I would not make it to manhood. Thank God my parents saw through this arrogant dude and didn’t listen to him. I am alive and well at 35 years old and I still have my saliva gland. That gland never got infected after that. Was that another example of mind power?
